Yeah, we miss going to the movies, too! It’s been over a year since our last COTA Movie Night at McMenamins and in addition to missing you, we’re missing out on lots of new bike films! For 2021 Pine Mountain Sports and Central Oregon Trail Alliance will work to post some of our favorite bike films on-line, one a month, for us all to watch from home. COTA Movie Night @ HOME and Wahoo Fitness presents The Long Way Around.

The Long Way Around tells the story of a weekend out with four bikepackers cycling in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California in mid-October 2020. Participants are Erik Nohlan, Rue Kaladyte, Chris Burkard, and the new Queen of Endurance Bikepacking – Lael Wilcox.

The original route that the group wanted to ride required some major variation due to the catastrophic fires experienced in California at the time. This film follows along on their 300 km trip.

COTA Movie Night @ HOME and Shimano presents All Bodies On Bikes.

Kailey Kornhauser and Marley Blonsky are bike riders on a mission – a mission to change the perception of who rides bikes. All Bodies on Bikes, a Shimano Originals film, follows Kailey and Marley on a two-day bikepacking trip along the Corvallis to Coast Trail, a 65-mile route through the gorgeous Oregon Coast Range. The pair, who both self-identify as fat, bond over their love of bicycle adventure and their shared desire to build a more welcoming and diverse cycling community.
