Bikepacking the OR Timber Trail

Thursday, November 8th @ 7:30 pm

Created in 2017 the Oregon Timber Trail is made up of nearly 700 miles of often very remote mountain bike trails, dirt roads, and rural forest that now connect the northern and southern borders of Oregon.

If you have an interest in bikepacking these wonderfully remote sections of trails then you’ll want to join us at Pine Mountain Sports for an evening of discussing the Oregon Timber Trail.

We’ll have stories from Dakota Gale, a Bend local who recently completed the entire trail in just 15 days with friends. (Dakota’s personal stats for those 15 days included 704 miles, 70K feet of climbing, 90 hours of pedaling, and a 47 mile a day average).

We’ll also have some of the Oregon Timber Trail Alliance volunteers and trail stewards here to share their insights on how best to navigate the route, answer your questions, and share route updates and resources.

Study up in advance at the Oregon Timber Trail website, bring your maps and questions, and we’ll look forward to seeing you at Pine Mountain Sports on Thu Nov 8. Doors open at 7P and we’ll start at 7:30P.

This event is free, but space is limited so you must RSVP. Call us at 541-385-8080 to reserve your seat.
