Ski Review: Black Diamond Drift

I usual consider relationships with skis very personal. We date for a few seasons, I find a newer and better one, then move on. I am not a guy who skis lots of different skis because of conditions, but mostly ski one or two skis for years, until a better one come along. I think the Drift may have ruined that simplicity for me.

Volunteer Training with Oregon Adaptive Sports 12/18-19

If you are interested in helping people with disabilities ski and snowboard then come join Oregon Adaptive Sports’ new volunteer training on Saturday, Dec 18 at Mt. Bachelor’s Sunrise Lodge or on Sunday, Dec 19 at Hoodoo’s Main Lodge. Training is from 8:45am to 3:30pm and will cover a broad spectrum of disabilities and how to assist people with those disabilities out on the snow.

Waffle Feed at Virginia Meissner Snopark, Dec 26th

Bring the family and ski out to the Meissner Shelter for wood stove cooked waffles with all the toppings and hot chocolate on Saturday, December 26th from 10am-12noon. This is a free event hosted by the Tumalo Langlauf Club. Donations for trail grooming welcome.

Telemark Demo Day at Mt Bachelor Dec 18th

On Saturday December 18th Pine Mountain Sports and Black Diamond will be up at Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort for a on snow Demo Day featuring the best telemark skis for the 2010/2011 season. This will be our only free demo day before Christmas and there is plenty of snow, so come up and try some skis. All you will need is a photo ID.

Masters Nordic Skiing Program with Bend Endurance Academy

Bend Endurance Nordic Masters Programs inspire adult skiers to improve their skiing while raising funds for the Tumalo Langlauf Club. TLC is the local organization that provides grooming for the Meissner Nordic Community Ski Trails which feature easy to moderate terrain, 13 miles from the City of Bend.
